Children's Ministry

Sunday School

We offer Sunday School for children in grades K through 6. This year we will be walking through the Old and New Testaments in a systematic way so that the kids get a view of scripture as a history of God’s people and not just a collection of isolated stories. This Survey of the Bible will take kids on an adventure of God’s amazing love for his children and how His son, Jesus, came to rescue them. Children will learn the importance of journaling and prayer, and that God made them for a special purpose. Join us for Sunday school each Sunday from 9:00am-10:15am. Sunday School begins this fall on September 20, 2009.

Preschool

Our church has been blessed with an abundance of Pre-School Children … the greatest gift God could give Bow Valley Baptist Church. It is our desire that our preschool children would know God’s love in a real way as they experience a secure, loving, God centered environment every time come.

Bring your children to:
- Sunday School – Sunday mornings, 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM - "Footsteps" - Sunday mornings during the worship service, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

AWANA

Awana is back for its second year! It is a ministry for children ages Kindergarten through Grade 6 which is designed to help kids know, love, and serve Jesus. Awana meets each Wednesday afternoon from 4:00-5:30pm beginning on September 16th. The cost is $40 for the year and includes their uniform, handbooks, awards, etc.

In Awana your child will:

  1. Experience fun and exciting Game Time – Awana uses games that promote healthy competition and physical activity while allowing kids to participate no matter their skill level.
  2. Participate in Small Group Time – This time is devoted to scripture memory. Children will earn awards and recognition as they work through their Awana handbooks.
  3. Participate in Large Group Time – Singing and Bible teaching will be the focus of this time. Kids will learn more about applying the truths of scripture to their lives.

VBS Summer

At the beginning of every July, Bow Valley Baptist Church has a week of Vacation Bible School that brings 200 to 300 children from Pre-Kindergarten through grade 6 together for a focused time of fun activities and learning what it means to know and serve God.

Kids Choir

We are starting practice for our Christmas Children’s Choir and drama. All children are welcome; practices will be held Monday evenings from 5:00-6:00 pm. For more information, please contact Mo Wuthrich. Choir will begin on September 14, 2009.
