Debbie Nelson
Debbie grew up around San Antonio, Texas and asked Christ to be Saviour and Lord of her life around the age of 10. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Education from Baylor University in 1992 and her Master of Arts Degree in Communication Disorders from Our Lady of the Lake University in 1995. She is a licensed Speech/Language Pathologist and worked in the public school setting from 1993-2001. Debbie and her husband, Barry, moved to Cochrane in 2003 so that Barry could attend school at the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary. Debbie felt God leading her to work in the area of Children’s Ministry in the fall of 2007, but recognizes that God had been preparing her for this ministry for many years. Debbie and Barry have three children: Nate, Stephen, and Sophie.
