On the Home Front: Resources for the Journey



April 14th – Good Friday Experience at BVBC from 1-5pm.
April 16th – Easter Sunday, No Connection Groups at 9am.  Juice, coffee, and pastries served beginning at 9:30am with the Worship service beginning at 10:30am.  Preschool area opens at 10:20am.  
April 29th – Helping Hands Food Drive at BVBC.  Families are invited to take part in this community service event.
 Ideas/Resources for your Family:
  • Easter Egg Hidden MessagesUse hidden messages in eggs as a part of your family’s Easter dinner.
  • Prayer crossesMake a cross using a piece of wood and twine, and use it to create a space for your family to write out their prayers to God this month.  
  • Salt paintings  – Get your kids creative juices flowing by painting Easter messages/pictures using salt!
  • Story FramesMake these cool frames with old books.
  • HomeFront Monthly Magazine from 2013  – This has great Easter ideas for a family worship time, prayer time, and other crafts and games.
  • Lost Sheep Story game – play this fun game with your kids using pompoms and straws
  • Getting to Know You – Fun game to play around the dinner table. Probably best with school age children.
